The parallel programme consists of activities that are not connected to the focus countries, but together form a broader communications strategy for the DutchDFA programme. This communications strategy comprises the following:
DutchDFA Website – The DutchDFA website is a hub of information and news about Dutch design, fashion and architecture, and a portal with links to more in-depth information about partners and other relevant organisations. Information about key players in the design fields, galleries and museums, educational institutions, funding bodies, producers, awards and prizes, magazines and blogs, events and facts and figures about the three sectors will be added on a regular basis, as well as relevant news items.
Travel Documents – DutchDFA travel documents are modular travelling exhibitions, containing digital imagery (photographs, films, graphic design, animation) that present characteristic examples of Dutch architecture, fashion and design. The modules can be shown in an easy-to-assemble mobile structure.
Hotspots – In addition to the focus countries, DutchDFA will also manifest itself at various hotspots: fairs and biennales where Dutch design is presented regularly, including Milan, New York, Sâo Paulo and Venice.
Opportunities – Opportunities are one-of occasions during which Dutch design can be highlighted, such as trade missions, royal visits, or the celebration of long-term connections between the Netherlands and another country.
