Gone with the wind
Text from Zuiderzeemuseum:

The exhibition Gone With the Wind in the Zuiderzeemuseum in Enkhuizen (22 March-22 November 2009) shows work of dozens of high-profile Dutch fashion, jewelry and accessory designers, stylists, photographers and illustrators. Together, they provide an inspiring vision of the great ideas of the Dutch fashion world and how it relates to the Dutch traditional clothing. The famous fashion designers Alexander van Slobbe and Francisco Benthum are guest curators.

Focus of the exhibition lies on the creative ideas inside the Dutch fashion world. It combines unique contemporary design with traditional costumes and objects from the museum collection. Twenty rooms in the museum and the museum park show typically Dutch themes in new and old designs, such as 'Orange parties' and the use of colorful flowers in the traditional costumes.

In de kamer Scheepsjongens van Bontekoe geven Nederlandse mannenmodeontwerpers als Francisco van Benthum, Lucas Ossendrijver (Lanvin) en Ivo Mittelmeyer een moderne visie op de traditionele mannendracht.

In the room 'Boys of Bontekoe' Dutch fashion designers like Francisco Benthum, Lucas Osse Drijver (Lanvin) and Ivo Mittelmeyer give a modern vision of the traditional male costume. In the 'Staphorster drama room' designer Mark Lentelink presents  garments from the international fashion world in which folding - as in Staphorst - is central.  Illustrators Piet Paris and Peter Jeroen design a variant of the typical Dutch tile.

The following artists are on show:

Kraplap: Dinie Besems

Levend erfgoed: Special animal races
