Lloyd Hotel opens catwalk on Damrak
Lloyd Hotel and Cultural Embassy in cooperation with the AMFI Amsterdam Fashion Institute and NV Stadsgoed, will make a start with beautifying Damrak as entrance to Amsterdam. At the beginning of 2011 a new hotel ‘The Exchange’ will open. It will be thé spot where breakfast is served all day (Stock), with a shop with presents you won’t find anywhere else (Options!). With the launch of this project Damrak – the red carpet of Amsterdam – will become thé catwalk of the Netherlands.


The hotel: the EXCHANGE
Sleeping in fashion.The new hotel will be designed in continued cooperation with AMFI. Selected students and graduates are made responsible for the interior decoration of the 63 one to five star rooms. For this they will work with Dutch artisanal textile producers. All rooms will have a specific design, like models on the catwalk. The interior design is characterised by its diversity: fresh and playful, sexy and comfortable, daring and classical.


The breakfast: STOCK
Breakfast till late! Fresh regional products and healthy ingredients are used for a nice breakfast that is available all day through. Also ideal for those en route to Central Station to pick up something quick for a train picknick.


The shop: OPTIONS!
Presents for tomorrow: A shop where the work of young designers is mixed with small and large presents you won’t find anywhere else. We will select the best high, low & dirt items. Puts an end to shopping cause you'll find it here!


The owner: NV STADSGOED
Stadsgoed offers space to new entrepreneurship. They like to have creative businesses like Lloyd Hotel as tenants, especially on a location like Damrak. Stadsgoed make a difference and make Damrak attractive again for the public. It is the mission of Stadsgoed to do so.
