MiMoA architecture tour
MiMoA architecture tour
Text from MiMoa:

Dutch initiated but globally participated online architecture guide MiMoA (My Modern Architecture) is organising an exclusive city tour and international rendezvous in Rotterdam on Saturday 31 of October. This autumn Rotterdam has the perfect right to proclaim itself ‘City of Architecture’ with the International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam (IABR) and the Architecture Film Festival Rotterdam (AFFR) taking place in the final weekend of October. The perfect motive for MiMoA to celebrate their annual event, the Mi event 2009, in Holland’s most modern city. With the purpose to intensify the international architectural appreciation of Rotterdam. Not to forget: MIMOA turns 2 this autumn. Reason enough to throw a great party!

What’s the plan? A sneak preview on the programme.
Gathering point will be the NAi, the Netherlands Architecture Institute, where we will meet and get acquainted. After a short introduction by the NAi and IABR we will start our guided Tour through Rotterdam city on bicycles (how else…), which will lead you to some secret and not-open-to-everyone architectural projects including a panoramic view overlooking the skyline of Rotterdam. We may even visit a high end architecture office and with a bit of luck we will meet a ’starchitect’… Elements of the IABR programme will be included, as well as a tasty lunch and we won’t like to miss the opportunity to exchange our thoughts on architecture and our ambitions, so we’re planning an exquisite focus group session on a suitable location as well. All together a complete and inspiring exclusive programme. It will be a unique day you don’t want to miss!
